Memo dated November 25, 1991:
"Molly showed me a photograph of an early maquette for the Baboon Fountain. Most of the baboons were different than in the final version but some of them had tails hanging straight down the back of the pedestal. The photograph was not dated but it must have been made prior to the sketch models (1937-38) or the full size models at the gallery."
